Based on our findings, we suggest that MALAT1-miR-485-5p-MUC1, NEAT1-miR-1224-5p-SCP2, and NEAT1-miR-485-5p-MUC1 might be the regulatory pathways for the pathogenesis and progression of NAFLD. This evidence concerns the gene NEAT1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
