EGFR and type 2 diabetes mellitus: When we divided all T2DM patients into the DKD group (ACR ≥ 30 mg/g and/or EGFR < 60 ml/min * 1.73 m2) and the non-DKD group (ACR < 30 mg/g and EGFR ≥ 60 ml/min * 1.73 m2) for binary analysis, the results showed that the concentration of AGEs in the lens was statistically significant (P < 0.05) in distinguishing the DKD group and the non-DKD group (Table 3).
