In concordance with in silico analysis, real time RT-PCR validated the upregulation of LAMA3, LAMA5, LAMB3 and LAMC2 in Thai CCA cell lines and patient tissues in which LAMA3A was upregulated the most and in nearly all cases (29 out of 30), pointing out the potentiality to use LAMA3 detection as the diagnostic approach to distinguish CCA patients from normal cases. This evidence concerns the gene LAMA5 and cholangiocarcinoma.
