We went on to examine the expression of the mammary EMT signature in RNA-sequencing data from 1041 breast cancer patients from the TCGA cohort that were stratified according to the PAM50 signatures into luminal A (540 patients), luminal B (201 patients), HER2-enriched (80 patients), basal-like (182 patients), and normal-like (38 patients) subtypes (55). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast cancer.
