After multiple testing correction and colocalization analysis, genetically predicted higher levels expression of TUFM (OR 1.12, 95% CI 1.08–1.17; PPH4 = 0.74), MTX1 (OR 1.31, 95% CI 1.17–1.47; PPH4 = 0.82), MRPL20 (OR 1.43, 95% CI 1.21–1.68; PPH4 = 0.83), CISD1 (OR 1.10, 95% CI 1.05–1.15; PPH4 = 0.72), BCL2L11 (OR 1.92, 95% CI 1.37–2.69; PPH4 = 0.91) and PMPCA (OR 15.12, 95% CI 5.16–44.37; PPH4 = 0.72) were positively associated with IBD risk. This evidence concerns the gene PMPCA and inflammatory bowel disease.
