EPHB1 and cancer: Whereas the 3D-protein structure-based bioinformatics analysis identified 63% (5 out of 8 selected mutants) of EPHB1 mutants with compartmentalisation phenotypes, the conventional hotspot analysis identified 43% (3 out of 7 selected mutants), demonstrating the utility for 3D-protein structure-based mutation analysis in characterization of putative cancer genes.
