Consistent with the favorable effects of TNFAIP1 on caspase 1/3/7 activity in macrophages or colorectal cancer cells [49, 50], we found that TNFAIP1 promoted caspase-3 cleavage and subsequent generation of the N-terminal fragment of GSDME both in vitro and in vivo.
