DOT1L and breast cancer: It is also involved in deregulation of gene transcription in several cancer types (Salvati et al., 2019; Alexandrova et al., 2022a), and the therapeutic potential of DOT1L inhibition in BC has been demonstrated, together with its functional interplay with other essential BC genes, such as MEN1, revealing a new vulnerability of therapy-sensitive and -resistant breast and ovarian cancers (Alexandrova et al., 2022b; Salvati et al., 2022).
