Among these, only serum levels of CRP and CXCL13 were higher in active versus inactive SLE (median [interquartile range]: 6.19 [5.75–6.59] pg/mL versus 5.79 [5.31–6.18] pg/mL; p=0.036 and 2.03 [1.88–2.27] pg/mL versus 5.79 [1.75–1.99] pg/mL; p=0.004; Supplementary Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and systemic lupus erythematosus.
