The ratio of CD11b+Ly6G+ cells (Figure S1A) and CD11b+Ly6C+ cells (Figure S1B) in the whole lungs of the mice tended to increase in the infected mid‐aged mice group than in the young mice group, suggesting that more neutrophils and macrophages tended to infiltrate into the lung tissues of the mice upon viral infection. This evidence concerns the gene ITGAM and viral infectious disease.
