There was a statistically significant association between mortality and ECOG-PS >0 (p = 0.0001), CCI >6 (p = 0.008), creatinine level >78 μmol/L (p = 0.005), albumin <27.5 g/L (p < 0.0001), LDH >202 U/L (p < 0.0001), CRP >23.5 mg/L (p = 0.0002), presence of SIRS syndrome (p = 0.0003), cancer progression (p < 0.0001), metastatic disease (p = 0.0002), and past chemotherapy treatment (p = 0.002). Here, CRP is linked to metastatic neoplasm.
