Consistently, hepatic TG content, hepatic lipid peroxide levels, and serum ALT levels were all increased in DDX3XΔhep mice compared to DDX3Xfl/fl mice fed the HFHC diet for 12 weeks (Fig. 5D), suggesting that hepatocyte DDX3X deletion promoted the progression of NASH.
