Though bi-parental mapping has resulted in the identification of eleven major scald disease resistance genes, Rrs14 on chromosome 1H; Rrs1, Rrs3, and Rrs4 on 3H; Rrs6 and Rrs9 on 4H; Rrs13 on 6H; Rrs2, and Rrs12 on 7H, most of the mapping studies converged on loci proximal of Rrs1 (3H) and Rrs2 (7H) (Zhang et al., 2020). The gene discussed is RRS1; the disease is glycogen storage disease VI.
