†AD group (n=64): 44 men and 20 women (67±1 years (range 35-85 years)). Of these, 7 subjects had familial AD (5 of 7 with ApoE ε3/ε3 genotype).Control group (n=34): 22 men and 12 women (71±1 years (range 61–86 years)). Of these, 11 had ε3/ε4 genotype, 17 had ε3/ε3 genotype, and 6 had ε2/ε3 genotype. The gene discussed is APOE; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
