High SAT radiodensity (upper tertile) was associated with higher ISS (III vs. I/II) and R-ISS stages (III vs. I/II), anemia (Hb < 10 d/dL), thrombocytopenia (platelets < 150 × 109/L), hypercalcemia (calcium ≥ 11 mg/dL), renal failure (Cr ≥ 2 mg/dL), and high LDH. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and hypercalcemia disease.
