PDGF-B has been found to promote immigration and growth of lymphatic endothelial cells in a mouse fibrosarcoma cell line [88], and in breast cancer cell lines, HIF-1 can enhance lymphangiogenesis by upregulating PDGF-B, indicating the significant influence of PDGF-B in lymphatic vessel formation [89]. This evidence concerns the gene PDGFB and breast carcinoma.
