NPPB and cancer: The results of a univariable logistic regression analysis showed that a higher age, male sex, smoking history, history of coronary disease, higher BNP, lower percentage-predicted forced expiratory volume in 1 s, open thoracotomy, a larger number of resected subsegments and POAF were significantly associated with a higher risk for 1-year non-cancer-related adverse events (Table 2).
