In contrast, GDF15 was frequently upregulated in other tumors, including breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), colon carcinoma (COAD), esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), thyroid carcinoma (THCA), and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC) (Fig. 1A). This evidence concerns the gene GDF15 and prostate adenocarcinoma.
