NFKB1 and colitis: [100] showed that the strain-specific B. longum LC67 prevented NF-κB activation, transforming growth factor-β-activated kinase 1, and IκBα (inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B, alpha) phosphorylation, as well as COX-2 and iNOS expression in a 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis mouse model and restored expression of TJ proteins(occludin, ZO-1, and claudins).
