At the protein level, high SLC7A11 was significantly associated with both high and low tumor grade (p = .02, Table 2) which was reflected in its separate components where it was associated with high mitotic count (p = .02, Table 2) and high pleomorphism (p = .002, Table 2) but in contrast also showed association with tubule formation (p = .007; Table 2).
