Our results showed that Adipsin overexpression decreased mitochondrial Irak2 expression and increased cytoplasmic Irak2 expression in DCM mouse myocardium, but the total Irak2 level was not changed (P < 0.05; Fig. 4a), indicating that Adipsin inhibited Irak2 translocation from cytoplasm to mitochondria. Here, IRAK2 is linked to familial dilated cardiomyopathy.
