Figure 6 shows our working model for the regulation of PG production in FDC based on the current experimental results. Considering the important roles that Akt plays in many physiological conditions, the effects of Akt inhibitors should be carefully analyzed when they are used as therapeutics in cancer, infectious diseases, and inflammation [34,35,36].
