Notable examples for approved and clinically used quinazoline-based drugs are Gefitinib [13] and the muti targeted kinase inhibitor Vandetanib [14], which have significantly impacted the treatment of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by targeting, among others, the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) (Figure 1).
