Ming-Ju Hsieh [55] demonstrated that glabridin inhibited the DNA-binding activity of NF-κB and AP-1, as well as inhibiting i-κB α phosphorylation and decreased the expression of c-Jun and c-Fos, resulting in the down-regulation of MMP9, which had certain inhibitory effects on the metastasis and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma. The gene discussed is FOS; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
