In Arbour et al.’s study using multivariate analysis only, KEAP1 appeared to effect prognosis in KRAS mutant lung cancer (hazard ratio (HR), 1.96; 95% CI, 1.33–2.92; p < 0.001), and the authors argued that the high proportion in concurrent KEAP1 and STK11 mutations may have skewed the univariate analysis results for STK11. Here, KEAP1 is linked to lung cancer.
