In Arbour et al.’s study using multivariate analysis only, KEAP1 appeared to effect prognosis in KRAS mutant lung cancer (hazard ratio (HR), 1.96; 95% CI, 1.33–2.92; p < 0.001), and the authors argued that the high proportion in concurrent KEAP1 and STK11 mutations may have skewed the univariate analysis results for STK11. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and lung carcinoma.
