(2011) studied the anti-cancer role of APOEdp, a dimer peptide derived from the receptor-binding region of human APOE in in vitro (HUVEC cells) and in vivo models (mouse and rabbit); the study showed APOEdp to inhibit tumor growth in HUVEC cells and mice as well as restricted ocular angiogenesis [218], suggesting an anti-cancer role of APOEdp.
