Some miRNAs are known to importantly regulate these pathways but outside the scope of alcoholic cirrhosis, such as miR-29b, which suppresses the STAT3 pathway in ASH [89]; miR-100, which inhibits the IGF signaling in HCC [189,190]; and miR-101, which downregulates the PI3K/AKT pathway in HCC [191,192,193,194].
