A functional annotation revealed the miRNA signatures of several pathologic pathways of early DRs, namely, the upregulation of NFκB—(miR-21, miR-132, miR-146a, miR-146b, miR-155), VEGF-(miR-17-5p, miR-18a, miR-20a, miR-21, miR-31, miR-155), and p53 pathways (miR-34). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Duane retraction syndrome.
