Overexpression of RRAS2 mRNA is associated with a higher proportion of CLL cases at diagnosis versus pre-malignant monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL), a higher proportion of leukemias bearing unmutated IgH gene, male sex, higher age, higher proportion of chromosomal anomalies, higher lymphocytosis, and lower platelet counts—all markers of poorer prognosis [22]. This evidence concerns the gene RRAS2 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
