Using gene expression of HNSCC tumor data obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, another immune-infiltrating signature-based classification was recently proposed with three immunophenotypes including other immune cells: cold, lymphocyte (enrichment for CD4 + T cells, CD8 + T cells, and B cells) similar to the previous classification, and myeloid dendritic (DC) signatures (enrichment of neutrophils, macrophages, monocytes, DCs, and T regulatory (Treg) cells) [13]. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is neoplasm.
