Mogge Hajiesmaeil et al. found that Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene polymorphisms, including C677T and A1298C, are strongly associated with the risk of cervical cancer, it seems that MTHFR 1298CC genotype is more susceptible to HPV16 infection [26]. Here, MTHFR is linked to cervical cancer.
