We then investigated whether alterations of INSIG2 expression affected DCT toxicity of PCa cells and found that INSIG2 silencing (Fig. S1C) did not significantly alter DCT sensitivity of DU-145 cells (Fig. 3D), suggesting that INSIG2 is not a mediator of miR-96-5p activity. Here, INSIG2 is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
