(2015) [30] elaborated that UHRF1 protein was the key for DNA methylation and heterochromatin formation, leading to a reduction in the expression of tumor suppressor genes and promoting tumorigenesis, and verified that miR-9 could inhibit UHRF1 expression and act as a tumor suppressor microRNA in CRC and could be utilized as a prognostic and therapeutic marker for CRC.
