This three‐component treatment, which the authors termed “neutrophil‐activating therapy”, resulted in (i) TNF‐mediated recruitment activation of neutrophils both in vivo and in vitro, (ii) expansion of neutrophils and enhanced cytotoxicity by anti‐CD40 antibody and (iii) lysis of human tumor cells (in vitro) and tumor clearance (in vivo) by ADCC. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is neoplasm.
