This set of DE genes with contrasting transcript expression signatures included a total of 12 genes associated with the KEGG cancer and non-small cancer pathways, such as genes AKT1, BCL2L1, EGLN3, MET and RAF1 that have been extensively discussed and considered as potential therapy targets in lung carcinomas (Figure 7 C, Supplementary Table S12) (30–32). This evidence concerns the gene EGLN3 and lung carcinoma.
