Several studies in human glioma have shown that circRNAs such as circ-PCMTD1, circ-PRKCI, circ-CDC45, circ-CPA4 and circ-SCAF11 are differentially expressed that are known to act as either oncogenic or tumor suppressors similar to miRNAs and lncRNA and promote glioma progression by regulating different hallmarks of cancer [[214], [215], [216], [217], [218]]. This evidence concerns the gene CPA4 and central nervous system cancer.
