Lui et al. targeted a CRISPR/Cas9 system for treatment of CML by encapsulating a CRISPR/Cas9 plasmid (pCas9) which expresses gRNA to target the BCR–ABL gene (pCas9/gBCR–ABL) with poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) (PEG–PLGA)-based cationic lipid-assisted polymeric NPs (CLANs). This evidence concerns the gene BCR and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
