After inducing cachexia by injecting C26 cancer cells (Figure 2E), we found that Erfe knockdown (Figure 2F) in the quadricep was sufficient to reduce the weight loss detected in their contralateral muscle (Figure 2G) and this was accompanied by decreased Atrogin1 expression, a marker of the atrophic process (Figure 2H).
