ZDHHC7 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Next, different HCC cell lines were used to evaluate how the activity of STAT3 was regulated and we found that both S-palmitoylation (Fig. 1G) and phosphorylation (Fig. 1, G and H) of STAT3 could be induced by DHHC7 WT while APT2 inhibition with ML349 (a specific APT2 inhibitor)(1) only caused minor perturbation to STAT3 phosphorylation (Fig. 1G).
