GPX4 and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Moreover, GPX4, NADPH oxidase, SLC7A11, and ACSL4 indirectly regulate iron metabolism and lipid peroxidation metabolic processes, thereby promoting ferroptosis.33 Ferroptosis has been found to be associated with various gastrointestinal cancers, such as GC, hepatocellular carcinoma, and pancreatic cancer.34 In our study, RGP significantly increased the accumulation of ROS, MDA, LDH, and Fe2+, decreased the protein expression of SLC7A11 and GPX4, and upregulated the protein level of ACSL4 in AGS cells, indicating that RGP can induce ferroptosis in AGS cells.
