Interestingly, examination of various datasets revealed that the expression levels of NOVA1, PRPF8 and SRSF10 were differentially, but consistently linked to genuine divergencies in the pattern of splicing events in cohorts of well differentiated carcinoids, lending credence to our prediction that their overexpression could be linked to altered splicing in these tumors. This evidence concerns the gene SRSF10 and carcinoid tumor.
