Abundant researches have reported that PBRM1 had a tumor-suppressive role in regulating pathways associated with chromosomal instability and cellular proliferation in ccRCC and decreased expression of PBRM1 was associated with poor prognosis and advanced clinicopathological features in patients with ccRCC [32, 34–36]. This evidence concerns the gene PBRM1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
