The matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) expression was significantly decreased after down-regulation of EZH2, showing that down-regulation of EZH2 could inhibit cancer cell movement; the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression was prominently reduced after EZH2 down-regulation, manifesting that down-regulation of EZH2 could inhibit tumor angiogenesis, reduce nutrient supply, and suppress its development and distant metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene MMP9 and neoplasm.
