In our analysis we found that TP53 was mutated in 4,250/12,531 (34%) of the TCGA cancer samples and 898/1,457 (61%) of cell lines, with some cancer types showing strong mutational frequency (such as ovarian, lung, and glioblastoma) and others much less so (Figures S2A and S2B). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and cancer.
