TNFSF11 and parathyroid gland carcinoma: It may cause transient side effects such as fever, chills, exacerbation of bone pain, and very rarely, cardiac arrhythmias.20 Denosumab, a monoclonal antibody against receptor activator of nuclear factor κΒ ligand (RANKL), inhibits osteoclastic bone resorption and is used to manage hypercalcaemia in parathyroid carcinoma.21,22 Calcitonin inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption and increases urinary calcium.
