OMA1 and Alzheimer disease: As seen with the MCI comparison, we observed a major proportion of FDR DEGsAD (97.7%; 128/131) with negatively correlated log2FC (n = 128; ρ = − 0.68, P-value = 2.2 × 10–16); the overall correlation being also negative (n = 131; ρ = − 0.65, P-value = 2.2 × 10–16); Fig. 4C. The most remarkable DEGsAD were all up-regulated in AD (FHOD1, MNT, STAB1, NBEAL2, ARID3A and VPS9D1), except for one (OMA1), which showed down-regulation in AD with respect to control samples (OMA1); Supplementary Table S4.
