In this study, we employed a combination of in vitro and in vivo approaches to investigate the role of myeloid PFKFB3 in myeloid cell infiltration to kidney, renal inflammation, M2 macrophage differentiation, and ultimately the development of renal fibrosis in the unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) model. This evidence concerns the gene PFKFB3 and renal fibrosis.
