In accordance with the animal experimental results, Yu et al. have reported that tragus stimulation significantly reduces the inducibility of reperfusion-induced ventricular tachycardia and the levels of myocardial injury biomarkers, improves systolic function in patients with STEMI undergoing PCI(Yu et al., 2017).It also indicates that suppressed inflammatory response, evidenced by lower IL-6, IL-1β, high-mobility group-box 1 protein 1, and TNF-α, contributes to the favorable effects of tragus stimulation. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and ventricular tachycardia.
