CRP and atrial fibrillation: New-onset AF was associated with older age (P < .005), higher CHA2DS2-VASc score (P < .005), elevated white cell count (P = .046), elevated neutrophil count (P = .010), elevated C-reactive protein (P < .005), elevated ferritin (P = .020), lower albumin (P < .005), and lower eGFR (P = .013) at the time of hospital admission.
