To begin investigating the binding activity at the CDC20 promoter hotspot, we used ENCODE ChIP-seq data from several non-melanoma cell lines and identified potential binding of multiple transcription factors, including ETS family members, which were predicted to have altered binding in naturally occurring motifs that matched the mutated ETS motif at the CDC20 promoter when mutated (Supplemental Fig. 6). Here, CDC20 is linked to melanoma.
